Tab Shame is a Chrome extension that counts your open browser tabs and displays humorous commentary based on the count. Your privacy is important, and this extension is designed to collect as little data as possible.

Data Collection

Tab Shame does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The extension does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, or any form of telemetry.

Local Storage

The extension stores your personal high score (highest tab count) locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• tabs — To count the number of open tabs and update the badge icon in real time.
• storage — To save your high score locally on your device.

These permissions are used solely to count tabs and store your high score. No tab URLs, titles, or content are read, logged, or transmitted.

Third Parties

This extension does not share data with any third parties. There are no ads, analytics services, or external data processors.
